Facing the reality of the world’s economic downturn, GWS has remained not just steady but strong. We have continued with research and development as well as maintaining another healthy year in sales. After completing the installation of eight GWS G145 Shaftless 4Hi Towers and 2 GWS 221 Folders in mid 2009 they have grown to #2 before years end. In early 2009 Global added to COW’s existing GWS G145 pressline. The new installation consisted of two GWS G145 4Hi Towers, one GWS G145 2Hi, and a second GWS 221 Folder. After Metrolands purchase of COW they needed another newspaper press and adding to the existing GWS equipment that was installed in 2006 was clearly their best option.
